FreeAXP running OpenVMS 8.3 was created by srallen87
Hey all, I'm attempting to find a way to display the GUI using FreeAXP while running openVMS 8.3. is it possible to use Cygwin to display the Dec windows?
I've gotten it install with no problems, I just need the GUI for reasons I cannot go into.
Thanks

Yes. Cygwin will work, as will ReflectionX and the Kea Xterm client.

You would want to search for documentation on using an X-windows client with OpenVMS. The information pertains to any OpenVMS or Tru64 system. Search on X-windows & VMS or Cygwin & VMS.
I am rusty, but it should be a matter of ensuring DECwindows is running on the VMS system, then connecting via the X-windows client.
