Can't get PuTTY to open two consoles at once was created by snadow
Without ing into a lot of detail right off the bat - I'm hoping that someone will know where I've gone astray...
Anyway: I have downloaded the new V4.0.0.645 of Avanti/FreeAXP, and successfully installed it in a Windows 10 virtual machine under VMware.
In that W10 VM, I have created two virtual Alphas. I can boot and run either one of them inidually, but I can't run them at the same time. After one Alpha is running, I go to start the other one, but nothing happens - I click on the "run" button, and nothing... however, if I then shutdown the first Alpha, and exit its console window, PuTTY then opens the console window for the second Alpha and up it comes. At that point, I cannot get the first Alpha to open its console window until I shutdown and exit the second Alpha.
YES, I did set unique port numbers for both console windows in the Alpha configurations. One is at port 9000 (the default) and the other is at port 9002.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Scott

I have reproduced the problem. The first instance seems to block the second instance from launching. We will look into this further.

An updated FreeAXP kit (4.0.0.646) has been posted that corrects the issue with running multiple instances on a single host.

Confirmed! Seems to be working well now with 2 instances. I haven't tried more than that yet - but two is plenty for me (for the time being, anyway)!
THANK YOU!
