creating VMS image was created by petar2188
can you please help me out with creating image of disk on Alpha station, and transferring it over to virtual Alpha? I really would apricate it.
I think I am on the right track but not able to access the image which I create on the second disk.
I used back/image to create image of drive to another drive, how to get that image now....?
I am using reflection software to get files from alpha but can't get to the second drive files.
any help would be much appreciated

Was wondering if you had any success in getting an image? I am in the same situation of trying to create a disk image to another disk. My goal was to create the image and then transfer over FTP to be used on FreeAXP.

BACKUP/IMAGE is a good way to transfer a drive. The trick is having a VMS system on the FreeAXP side to receive the image file. You might get away with booting VMS from an installation CD and using that to initialize a disk, FTP the backup image across, and then restore the image. I personally think it's easier to build a temporary VMS helper system under FreeAXP and use that to facilitate the transfer and restore.
