I just attempted an installed of idle 1.2 on VMS 8.3 running on FreeAxp.

Even with LOAD_SYS_IMAGES set to 6, the installation gets to the 80% point and then halts with halt code = 7, machine check while in PAL mode.

Does this kit require some patch to work with OpenVMS / Alpha 8.3?

I just discovered that I am running x86 version 1.0 patch 6 build 269, so the halt is expected. Upgrading to try again.
