patched 'process_management.exe' image causes freeAXP to fail detection for idle feature

Hobbyist user here, running VSI V8.4-2L1 with freeAXP build 670.

VSI, possibly accidentally, gave hobbyists SFTP access to their patches collection, and I installed all available AXP patches for V8.4-2L1.

After applying patches, I note that the freeAXP 'idle' function is no longer functional.

FreeAXP appears to be using some sort of heuristic, or possibly knowledge of a code sequence related to entering idle state within process_management.exe, to hook the kernel idle state; hence, a change within process_management.exe is causing the problem. Just a hunch.

If true, this would be affecting commercial users as well.

Not a biggie for me, but thought you should be aware.

Thanks for your post. You are correct in your assessment. PM me and I'll provide a tool that will create the footprint used to update the idle function.
